The President of the Ankara Chamber of Commerce (IT), Gursel Baran, said that IT, which planned to celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2023, would cancel the celebration. Instead, the organization will use funds to build housing for earthquake victims. 100 million Turkish liras (TL) will be allocated for this, within this amount it is planned to organize the construction of hundreds of residences.
Here we are talking about full-fledged houses with reinforced concrete structures; and much earlier, as Gursel Baran explained, the Ankara Chamber of Commerce will put into operation a temporary "prefabricated" residential settlement for those who have lost a roof over their heads. Toilets, shower rooms, a mobile catering service with a kitchen will also be organized there; even children's playgrounds are provided.
Recall that the first 30 000 residences in new capital buildings are planned to be built in the very near future. In the meantime, people have been provided with container housing and prefabricated houses.
