TOKI allows for a three-month deferral of credit obligations

Loan payments for housing purchased from TOKI in 11 earthquake-affected provinces have been postponed for 3 months. This was stated during his speech in Hatay the other day by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Two and a half weeks have passed since the devastating earthquake on February 6, 2023, which was called the "disaster of the century". The authorities and financial structures support citizens as much as they can; in particular, it is planned to provide victims with housing to replace the lost one over the next year.

The Office of Mass Housing Construction is not only actively involved in this process, but also declares that credit payments for housing purchased under TOKI projects in 11 provinces affected by the disaster can be postponed. So far, the delay has been announced for three months, but it is quite possible that this period will be extended over time. Businesses will be offered even longer "financial holidays".

Those living in Turkey do not get tired of being reminded of the need to issue a mandatory DASK policy, which in fact is not issued by everyone: about half of the damaged or collapsed buildings were not insured.
