Real estate prices in Adana have doubled

Adana, one of the most affected by the recent earthquake, was among the provinces where a state of emergency was declared. Moreover, in fact, it also affected the housing segment: after all, the cost of apartments undamaged by tremors and especially detached houses soared. The fact is that the locals, frightened by what happened, are now trying to look for buildings with a minimum number of storeys, and even better – separate houses, even if they are poor.

Prices for some such buildings have increased by more than 100%, local realtor Ahmet Mukhammet Deran told the Emlak365 portal. Apartments in Adana, which are also relatively unaffected, have risen in price by 25-50%.

Earlier it was reported that the first 30,000 residences for the victims will begin to be built very soon: in March 2023.
