Prices for land plots aimed for construction in Turkey increased by 21 percent and for farming - by 25 percent. These figures are given by Emlak Kulisi, the construction and real estate newspaper in Turkey. According to the newspaper, the coronavirus has significantly increased the need for people in construction and farming land plots and gardens. During the pandemic, many residential property investors in Turkey switched their interest to land. The rise in prices was caused by the growth in demand. Many local and foreign investors are now choosing detached houses with a garden or just plots of land to build their own house instead of apartments. Over the year, prices for land plots for construction (arsa) increased by 21 percent, and prices for farming land (tarla) - by 25 percent. The highest growth rates of land prices have been observed in the provinces of Istanbul and Antalya and in the cities of Antalya and Izmir.
