Property prices in Turkey increased in August by 2 percent

Turkish house prices rose 2 percent in August, with an annual growth rate of 22 percent. These figures are given by Emlak Kulisi, the construction and real estate newspaper in Turkey. Home sales in August decreased by 26 percent compared to July results, but compared to the same period in 2019, they increased by 54 percent, amounting to 170,408 objects. The most popular cities for real estate buyers in Turkey in August were Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir.

Today, the average price per square meter of housing in Turkey is 2,569 liras (290 euros), the average cost of an apartment is 333,970 lira (about 37.5 thousand euros). The average monthly rent is 1,415 liras (160 euros), and the return on investment in real estate is 18 years. 

According to the July stats, the average cost per square meter of residential real estate in Turkey was 2,514 lira (taking into account the inflation of the lira - also about 290 euros).
