There are no available apartments for rent in Edirne

After the earthquake in Kahramanmarash, the star of cities with a low risk of earthquakes "rose" in the rental housing market. And when immigrants poured in, the vacant rented areas were very quickly occupied.

Edirne turned out to be one of those places where at first the owners were very happy about the increased demand, and then, in fact, the problem with renting housing began to arise. Where there are practically no empty rented apartments left at all.

Located near Istanbul, Edirne has faced particularly intense "internal immigration" and rental rates have skyrocketed.

President of the Association of Real Estate Consultants Edirne Serhat Cheker, after a thorough assessment of the situation, said that tariffs have increased dramatically: Today, renting Apartment 1-1 in Edirne will cost at least 5,000 Turkish lira (TL). For our part, we will clarify that literally 2-3 years ago, a thousand lira was considered "very expensive" here.

Well, luxury real estate for rent, the expert believes, can become even more expensive than in Istanbul: "Now several residences with private pools are offered, and the rent there starts from 15,000 TL". In fact, for the first time in the entire operation of the rental market in Edirne - prices began to be recalculated in euros and dollars here.

Serhat Cheker urged the owners of residential real estate to "be conscious" and remember their conscience: after all, after the earthquake in Kahramanmarash, about 5,000 victims moved here. "And if you look at the homeowners, they all have 2-3 apartments. It is unethical to raise the price, looking at the economic and social situation of tenants".

The rental market in Turkey continues to storm, despite the constantly announced new measures to support tenants. In particular, civil servants - for whom the increase in rental rates has also hit hard - will be provided not only with a subsidy to compensate for about a quarter of the rent.
