The construction of 13,500 village houses in the earthquake zone has already started

The Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum said that contractors have already begun the construction of about a tenth of the village (intended for rural areas) houses that will be built on the territory affected by the tremors: 13,400 units out of the planned 143,000.

The projects of these village houses were developed in 5 different versions, taking into account regional needs, local architecture and living conditions. All of them are designed as detached houses 3 + 1; but the footage varies.

And at such houses there are premises for livestock - for those who are engaged in animal husbandry, and whose cowsheds, sheds and other outbuildings have been damaged so much that they cannot be restored, and they can no longer be used.

Murat Kurum clarified that the victims will be provided not only with a place to live and premises for animal husbandry, but an absolutely comfortable space - a settlement with residential buildings, streets, parks, a mosque.

At the moment, there are about 313,000 destroyed, demolished, very badly damaged and medium-damaged buildings in the affected region.

Earlier it was reported that 4,000 residences were built in Izmir, for those who lost their homes during one of the previous earthquakes.

And the amount collected under the so-called "earthquake tax" for 23 years amounted to almost 90 billion Turkish lira (TL).
