Turkey's construction sector recovers after coronavirus and activates 250 sectors of economy

Turkish Finance Minister Berat Albayrak assessed the interim results of the mortgage campaign that continues in Turkey. Turkey's real estate publication Emlak Kulisi has reported that the number of official permits issued by municipalities has increased by 45.5 percent in the first six months compared to last year's figures. In total, construction permits were issued for 43.9 million square meters, where the share of housing is 23.8 million square meters, the share of non-residential premises - 11.4 million square meters, the share of public spaces - 8.7 million square meters. The number of housing construction permits decreased by 35.6 percent compared to the first half of 2019.
