The long-awaited metro station at Sabiha Gokcen Airport has finally opened its doors to visitors and passengers. This happened on October 02, 2022; earlier, Turk Estate had already talked about the progress of the construction of the station.
Recall that Sabiha Gokcen is one of the airports of the metropolis, located on the Asian side. Now the 7.4 km long M10 branch leads there, which has five stations and connects with the M4 at the Tavshantepe station.
From now on, users of this airport will have the opportunity to get to and from Istanbul in just 50 minutes, and very cheaply: after all, metro travel costs much less than on the Havash airport buses. And trains run more often.
Well, the total length of the Istanbul metro lines has now reached 270 km and is steadily approaching the declared 360 km.
The opening of a metro station in the air hub of the European part of the city - a new Airport - is expected soon.
The authorities also plan to open a new fragment of the metro line in Istanbul almost every month.
