The average cost of housing in Turkey has reached 2.3 million TL

According to TÜIK, in March 2023, more than one hundred thousand housing units were sold in Turkey; to be more precise, 105.5 thousand lots. The volume of transactions increased by 32% compared to the previous month.

 

The average cost per square meter of housing in the country at the end of March was fixed at 17,573 Turkish lira (TL), the average price per residence is 2,284,490 TL, and the average payback period for investments in residential real estate is now 20 years.

 

According to the Endeksa portal, the provinces with the largest increase in the cost of housing over the past year were Kyrklareli, Antalya and Kocaeli: 208%, 164% and 64%, respectively. Moreover, in Antalya, the average lot price is higher than the national average: 2,969,640 TL.

 

This province continues to actively develop transport infrastructure: for example, the travel time from Antalya to Mersin will be only five hours due to the new road. And they are also expanding and improving the airport here, thanks to the investments of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, which decided to invest 140 million euros in the air hub.
