The average selling time increases

According to market experts, the period during which apartments/houses are usually sold in Turkey has increased. So, one of the well-known urban planner, part-time real estate appraiser Celal Erdogdu revealed figures based on the statistics he has.

While working on the issue of concluding deals with the three largest megacities, here are the data he announced:

  • Istanbul — 74 days (the average time to find a new buyer for a house for sale);
  • Ankara — 53 days;
  • Izmir — 89 days.

The average selling time in Turkey is now approximately 68 days. Of course, it depends on the province. One of the obvious reasons for this growth is that housing prices continue to rise. For example, you can exchange your apartment in Konya (at an equivalent cost) for a lake view house in Finland. So, Turkish real estate is no longer the cheapest, although it remains one of the most popular.
