Demand for houses with balconies and a garden in Turkey increased by 233 percent

The coronavirus pandemic continues to affect the preferences of property buyers in Turkey. Today, the greatest demand is for houses with a garden, spacious duplex apartments and, most of all, housing with large balconies. According to Emlak Kulisi, a specialized publication on construction and real estate in Turkey, over the past six months, the demand for apartments and houses with a garden and large balconies has grown by 233 percent. As a result, prices for such housing have grown by 30-50 percent, and the rent has grown two to three times.

How have new residential projects in Turkey changed because of the pandemic? Now the area of balconies and terraces becomes as large as possible (up to 15 percent of the area of the apartment). If there is even a slightest opportunity, apartment owners get their private garden plot or access to the common garden in the complex.
