The General Director of the Main Cadastral Office of Turkey Mehmet Zeki said that nationals of 148 countries have already become the owners of real estate in Turkey. According to the expert, in the first eight months of 2020, despite the coronavirus pandemic and the restrictions, foreigners bought 20,000 properties in Turkey. Istanbul and Ankara became the leaders in home sales to foreigners.
To make it easier for foreigners to choose a property and register a real estate deal in Turkey, the country's main cadastral department has launched an information portal for foreigners - Your Key Turkey. Using the portal, nationals of different countries can apply for the selection of real estate or receive the necessary information in Turkish, English, German, French, Russian and Arabic. The website provides statistics on real estate in Turkey, as well as detailed information on how to obtain Turkish citizenship by purchasing a home.
