Ankara-Sivas high-speed route is open

The long-awaited route of the NRE network has been put into operation and already carries passengers. The Ankara-Sivas high-speed train line was opened on April 26 with the participation of Vice President Fuat Oktay, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismayiloglu, as well as key representatives of some political parties.

 

As we have already written, with the launch of this route, the travel time by rail from Ankara to Sivas or in the opposite direction has been reduced from 12 to just two hours. Along the way, the train passes including 49 tunnels and 49 overpasses. He stops at several stations in key settlements along the route, including Elmadag, Kyrykkale, Yozgat, Sorgun and others.

 

Travel from Ankara to Sivas and back will be free for the first month. By the way, the railway line to Kayseri will be connected to this line.
