The other day, another pleasant news was announced in the media for fans of Turkey and owners of real estate in this country. Not even one, but two. Firstly, the number of Turkish Airlines flights to Turkey will double very soon: 15 more flights will be added. So far, mainly from Moscow, but in the future the carrier expects to increase the number of departures from other cities of the Russian Federation.
The second good news is that for those who for one reason or another could not buy a ticket on Turkish Airlines, the flight to Turkey by domestic airlines will be shorter, Interfax writes. After all, after the beginning of the well-known conflict, the duration of the journey greatly increased due to the need to lay a route «bypassing».
Now, namely, from August 30, 2022, Russian air carriers will be able to fly from Moscow and St. Petersburg to Turkey through the airspace over Volgograd and Astrakhan, and not fly around this territory through Kazakhstan; the corresponding notification has already been sent to airlines.
Recall that after February 24, the Federal Air Transport Agency introduced a flight restriction regime to most airports in southern Russia, with the exception of Sochi. For this reason, domestic airlines had to fly over a number of territories, so even in Sochi, the duration of flights increased from two to 3.5-4 hours; and it took longer to get to Turkey than when they were in Egypt - about 5.5 hours.
Now, the duration of the flight of the boards of Russian airlines may be reduced by 35 minutes at once.
Recall that Turkey recently announced the creation of a new airline specifically for Russians.
Russian air carriers are also making every effort to simplify the «transfer» to Turkish shores for our compatriots: in particular, Aeroflot has launched a number of additional flights to Bodrum and Dalaman.
