3 000 TL will be allocated to those in need to rent apartments

Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum announced that, following the instructions of the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, citizens renting housing in 11 earthquake-affected provinces will be provided with financial assistance in the form of rent subsidies. Namely, 3 000 Turkish lira (TL).

The payment was reported earlier, but then the tenants were promised to pay 2 000 TL.

In parallel, the authorities are checking moderately damaged and slightly damaged buildings in the affected regions in order to restore them as quickly as possible and put them in order, and allow people to return to their apartments.

At the same time, control over the provision of services in the housing market has been strengthened: realtors and property owners who profit from the situation will be fined. Prices for rental apartments will now be monitored much more strictly.

Well, for those victims who cannot afford to rent an apartment, the authorities have already begun to pay compensation and provide temporary housing, including prefabricated houses and residential containers.
