As we reported earlier, as part of the first stage, the authorities planned the construction of 199,739 residences in cities and several tens of hundreds of rural houses. Now, figures have become known regarding the distribution of the 15 000 houses to be built in the provinces in the first place.
Contracts with contractors have already been concluded:
590 - Sarychan (Adana);
821 - Payas, 492 - Iskenderun, 364 - Altynozyu, 376 - Khassa (Hatay);
152 - Toprakkala (Osmaniye);
1490 - Durlkadiroglou, 1097 - Pazadrzhik, 1452 - Elbistan, 501 - Afshin (Kahramanmarash);
349 - Doganshehir, 1073 - Battalgazi (Malatya);
921 - Nizip, plus 400 houses in rural areas (Gaziantep);
456 - Nurdagi (Kilis);
534 - Birejik, 363 - Eyyubiye (Sanliurfa);
595 - Kayapınar (Diyarbakır);
580 - Orenli, 297 - Kakhta, and 250 houses in villages (Adyaman).
The information will be updated and supplemented. So far, it is known that new projects are low-rise buildings.
In parallel, social and medical institutions are being checked all over the country, non-earthquake-resistant ones will be demolished. One of these facilities was the Dışkapı Yıldırım Beyazıt Hospital in Ankara.
