Recall that earlier Istanbulkart and in some places - travel tickets were «in use».
Now, as it became known, the municipality has signed an agreement with the Mastercard payment company, and in transport it will be possible to use credit and debit cards for payment (with the option of contactless payment).
At first, this service will be available to local residents, and from 2023, according to preliminary data, to foreigners; that is, payment will also be made using bank cards issued abroad.
We also remind you that the metro to the New Airport (Istanbul's largest air hub and winner of numerous international awards) will be opened in December 2022. Well, using the metro, you can get to the airport on the Asian side of the metropolis - Sabiha Gokcen - right now: the line was opened by the beginning of autumn.
