The list of the most expensive districts of Turkey has been updated

The list of the most «valuable» (the most popular and rapidly rising in price) areas in Turkey was redefined in a recent study by the analytical platform Endeksa.

Just before the beginning of the fourth quarter of 2022, judging by the average figures for each district, the most expensive were Istanbul's Saryer and Besiktas, as well as Izmir's Cesme (where even plots of land for residential development «fly away» in a matter of days).

The average cost of a unit of residential real estate in Saryer was, according to the latest data, 9,075,312 Turkish lira (TL), and for one square meter – as much as 63,045 TL; in Besiktas it is 9,002,868 TL (61,503 TL per square meters), and in Cesme - 7,684,340 TL (45,247 TL per square meters).

Seven districts from Istanbul and one each from the provinces of Izmir, Mugla and Antalya got into TOP-10 in the country.

Commenting on the results, Endeksa co-founder and CEO Gerkem Ogyut explained: «If you look at this list, the central districts of Istanbul near the Bosphorus and the most popular resort areas of Turkey stand out in the first place. These are the areas where the heart of the economy, trade, culture, art and tourism beats».

The maximum increase in the cost of housing in top locations reaches 336% per year, Mr. Ogyut said.
