Work continues on a new road planned by the Municipality of Alanya to improve traffic in Kestel to Alaaddin Keikubat University, as well as to the newly paved highway.
This rapidly being completed new road with a length of 4 kilometers and a width of 30 meters will simplify access not only to the University of Alanya, but also to the new industrial site, which is being moved to the Kestel district. It is also going to be actively used as a "connecting fragment" to the newly built ring route; it will facilitate access to the coastal zone.
Road works are continuing in a number of districts of Alanya, not only in Kestel; the goal is to reduce the traffic density in the city, especially given the approaching tourist season.
The head of the Kestel district Mukhterem Shimshek stressed that the new road is of great importance, because for a long time the question of comfortable travel to the University of Alaadin Keikubat "... remained a big problem."
The municipality hopes to put the road into operation as soon as possible.
Earlier we reported that they want to make Alanya more earthquake-resistant. The social infrastructure is also actively developing: not so long ago, the foundation of another medical center was laid in the city.
