Turkish real estate: key news of the past week of July 9 – 15

Read a selection of the most relevant news of the country’s real estate market in our traditional digest published by Turk Estate before the weekend.

Come July, analysts started summarizing the results of the first half-year. Over 6 months of 2022, more than 1.6 million properties were sold in Turkey, including residential, commercial, office premises, land plots, etc. By the way, the demand for home purchasing in the Istanbul districts of Beşiktaş and Sarıyer was the highest in all Turkey.

New interesting offerings emerge now and then – like land with olive groves in the Antalya Province.

The star of the Bodrum resort (Muğla Province) keeps rising higher: investment in this area is the most promising. Famous brands are competing for the right to be represented here. One of the new projects that opened in Bodrum recently is a club restaurant with a beach area under the French brand Bagatelle.

This is hardly surprising because it is in Bodrum that actors, singers, and other celebrities purchase their homes. About a week ago, Burak Özçivit, a star of Magnificent Century, who already owns a land plot with a house here, announced that he was going to build another villa for his future child. It seems that the actor is going to own more than two mansions near Bodrum.

Russian investors are also very interested in this district, particularly now that Aeroflot has launched direct flights to two airports on the Aegean Coast. It will now be easier to fly here and select a home.

Other resorts are also announcing exciting projects: e.g. villas under the Swiss brand Swissôtel are now for sale in Çeşme within Swissôtel Residences Çeşme.
