Real estate in Turkey: the main news of the past week – October 29-November 4

A selection of the most relevant news of the real estate market of the Republic of Turkey is in our weekly digest.

Over the past seven days, among the news that attracted more attention, mostly there were not announcements of new major projects from developers, but infrastructure (in particular, transport) news and information about the most popular housing formats and innovative «interaction formats» with a potential buyer.

Branded residences continue to be in high demand, which have risen in price by 3.5% in a month and by almost 100% in a year. Such a segment as factory-built houses and villas (ready-made constructors) is also actively developing, especially thanks to generous subsidies from the state, which are allocated to buyers.

Well, Milli Emlak announced an unprecedented action: when buying a plot, a car as a gift.

As for demand trends, as analysts reported the other day, rising prices have reoriented foreigners to purchase secondary real estate, primary real estate is requested less.

By the end of the year, municipalities are in a hurry to update the transport infrastructure and improve service. The authorities of the country's largest metropolis are particularly productive in this regard: the number of ferry and funicular routes has increased here (additional ones will also open next week), and it will be possible to pay for travel very soon with ordinary bank cards.
