Real estate in Turkey: the main news of the past week – January 14-20

We present the most widely read news of the Turkish real estate sector over the past seven days.

Analysts, having finally received detailed statistics for December, summarize the results of 2022. Which, after two years of the pandemic and the economic crisis that followed it, somewhat «crippled» the construction sector, inspire everyone except those who want to buy rapidly rising real estate. Thus, Turkey has become a world leader in housing price growth in 2.5 years, and the cost of many residences in Istanbul will soon be higher than anywhere in Miami.

The increase in prices, including for rent, has caused a lot of disputes over the rights of one or another party over the past year; and finally, in court - where people are turning more and more often - they began to recognize correspondence in social networks as full-fledged proof.

In Alanya, on the territory of the Mahmutlar district, a special service has appeared to help the population solve a wide variety of issues. Of a legal nature, including, but not only: here they will help, in particular, with employment.

The beginning of 2023, every week, pleases with news from the field of transport infrastructure development. So, Antalya and Alanya will soon be connected by a new expressway. New ferry routes have appeared in Istanbul, and on Sunday the long-awaited opening of the metro station and the «branch line» to the New Istanbul Airport will take place.

So real estate along the course of this line will probably start to get more expensive even faster, as it already happened after the opening of the metro line to the airport on the Asian side of the megalopolis - Sabiha Gokcen.
