Real estate in Turkey: the main news of the past week – October 1-7

A selection of the most relevant news of the real estate market of the Republic of Turkey is in the traditional digest from Turk Estate for the last seven days.

The past week was rich in significant events in the field of transport and social infrastructure.

For example, a modern and currently the largest public hospital in the country has opened its doors in Ankara; the long-awaited metro line to the airport of the Asian part of Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen has finally been opened. In the largest Turkish metropolis, the construction of the Mahmutbey-Bahcesehir line has begun.

The authorities continue to work out alternative options for providing housing to the population in need. So, in addition to social apartments, preferential land plots are now being auctioned en masse; their number has already reached one million. Other options for buying land «with savings» are also offered. For example, the sale of VAT-exempt plots starts in Antalya.

Another good news: preferential programs for the purchase of residential real estate, now available to the poor, will soon appear for middle-income families.
