Real estate will be built on the empty territory of Ankara University

The Office of Mass Housing Construction TOKI proposed to erect houses on unused land belonging to the University of Ankara (ODTÜ), as it's empty anyway.

The unoccupied meters are located within the boundaries of the campus, between the university building itself and the forest, and there are quite a lot of them.

Thus, it is possible to enable the land to benefit, and to free many families from the rental burden.

Dormitories and campuses remained on the «agenda» in Turkey throughout July and August. It got to the point that the authorities intervened in the «student housing crisis»: there are not enough places for applicants and students at university campuses.

But at least in Alanya, a new women's dormitory was opened by the beginning of the new academic year.
