Newlyweds will get a chance for social housing

Announcing separate programs within the framework of the social housing project, which is planned to be provided to more than a million citizens, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that now the newlyweds, in particular, will have a chance to quickly get an apartment.

Young men and women who marry are often still students or have just ceased to be such, practically do not have their own savings, and if they work, they are sometimes forced to financially support their parents or younger siblings. Therefore, at the current standard prices for apartments and houses, they cannot afford them. Especially in such popular cities as Istanbul, where in order to buy an apartment, you will have to postpone the entire salary for 24 years, and this is without taking into account inflation.

Details regarding the possibility of participating in such a program for newlyweds will be announced a little later. So far, it has become known only that the program will be available only to those who get married for the first time: remarriages are not taken into account. But monthly payments to the bank will most likely be much lower than if young families rented housing and paid rent. At the same time, they will pay contributions already for their own apartments, and not rented ones.

The authorities will also try to reduce the entry fee for this category of citizens to a minimum.

In parallel with the nationwide program, the Office of Mass Housing Construction TOKI periodically conducts a sale of housing for low-income segments of the population in individual provinces. One of the recently announced actions will be held in Konya in two weeks.
