The Turkish Ministry of Environment and Urban Planning released data on home mortgage sales in July 2020. Thanks to the mortgage campaign, the number of mortgage apartments sales increased by 1,000 percent in July compared to July 2019. In July 2020, 141,434 objects were sold using the mortgage in Turkey, while a year ago, 14,348 objects were sold within the same month.
The leaders of July 2020 sales were Istanbul (25,424 objects), Ankara (18,566 objects), Izmir (10,741 objects), Bursa (6,060 objects) and Kocaeli (5,066 objects).
In June 2020, there was also a sharp increase in mortgage sales in Turkey - by 1,287 percent of the number of mortgage apartments sold in June 2019. Experts predict that August also promises to be a record for the number of mortgage transactions in Turkey.
