Civil servants begin renting apartments due to high rental rates

Government employees, who have always received salaries above the national average, need subsidies for rental housing. As it turned out, they cannot afford to rent apartments for themselves and their families. Therefore, someone has to give up new positions in expensive areas of the city to rent real estate losing their positions, and lonely employees try to rent housing with others, as in student days. This is an unpleasant situation for such qualified and experienced specialists as university teachers.

Therefore, civil servants' unions have stepped up taking action against steadily rising rental prices. They have reached out to the authorities, and state employees will soon receive subsidies. Otherwise, for example, Istanbul, one of the most expensive cities in rent and cost of living, risks losing many employees.

So, settling the rent subsidy, called "capital compensation" or "compensation for large cities" is the order of the day.

Moreover, in addition to such megacities as Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, there is a similar problem in resort areas: Mugla, Aydin, and Antalya. Many civil servants complain of a sharp decline in living standards, which does not have the best effect on their motivation. Teachers, doctors and the police fall into this category.

So, Turkey hopes that this issue will be resolved as soon as possible.
