Mansur Yavaş, the mayor of the metropolitan municipality, pleased the residents of the capital with good news: the authorities have launched a new round of investments in the development of the metro in Ankara. The city will expand the M2 line with a length of 9.36 km, consisting of 5 stations (Koru-Yaşamkent and Koru-Bağlıca), and the M4 line (Şehitler-Ovacık) with a length of 7.69 km and 4 stations.
The metro in Ankara is quite comfortable and with convenient transfers, but still some significant residential areas are not covered by this type of rail transport.
