The authorities of all provinces continue to struggle with real estate agencies and individual specialists working in the «gray» or «black» field, including trying to retake or resell the same housing unit to different persons, or allowing violations of another kind. In particular, they sell housing through social networks.
Special attention is paid to this in Alanya. The president of the ALEMDER Association, Ozgur Elbash, recalled that no one has the right to work without a license.
The rules must also be observed by homeowners renting out their real estate: those who do not report this to the KBS (identity notification system) risk receiving a fine of 40,000 Turkish lira (TL).
So, the registration of the landlord is mandatory, as well as informing about the fact of renting housing to the tax inspectorate.
Turkey will now be especially attentive to citizens of the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, regarding whom there is a lot of information about illegal activities: they are especially often presented as «real estate agents» and offer their services through social networks. Moreover, when immigrants from other countries do this, it complicates life for everyone, because immigration structures also come into play here. «We will definitely put a new order in Alanya», Mr. Elbash said.
Alanya is «leading» in a number of important events at once; it has become almost the first city where the «rental bubble» has burst. Now illegal or semi-legal housing transactions have also been taken up here.
Agencies operating without licenses have been actively monitored by authorities across the country since at least the beginning of the year.
