Details of real estate transactions in Istanbul for May 2023 have been published. After the publication of the general monthly report, analysts regularly provide detailed data on the largest cities in Turkey; a little earlier, the figures for Bursa were announced, and now it's Istanbul's turn.
So, during May, 18,435 housing units - apartments or houses - were sold in the metropolis.
4,415 accounted for mortgage transactions; non-mortgage transactions turned out to be more than three times more - 14,020 lots were bought at once without attracting housing loans.
In the segment of new buildings, buyers purchased 4,795 residences, in the more popular segment of secondary real estate - 13,640.
Foreigners have become owners of 934 residential units in this metropolis in a month (out of 3,167 lots sold to investors from abroad throughout Turkey).
In addition to residential and commercial real estate, land plots are also in demand in Istanbul province.
