Analysts keep monitoring home prices all over Turkey, assessing the value of housing by provinces, cities, and districts, and compiling corresponding ratings. The popularity of individual districts fluctuates month on month, which is critical for investors: if you notice the emerging interest in a certain district or neighborhood, you can purchase residential property there at a great profit and return your investment much faster.
For instance, besides the traditionally sought-after Beşiktaş (Istanbul), Sarıyer has also gained momentum over the past month. It is also located in the Turkey’s largest megalopolis and currently stands second in the rating that compares the popularity of districts all over Turkey, not only in Istanbul.
The average price of a square meter in Beşiktaş is currently 47,000 Turkish Lira (TL). Sarıyer is slightly behind with TL 44,200. Çeşme (Izmir) is number three in the ranking with TL 33,550 per square meter.
Kadıköy, Bakırköy and Princes’ Islands (Adalar) in Istanbul, Çankaya and Ulus in Ankara, Karşıyaka in Izmir, Bozcaada in Çanakkale, Bodrum in Muğla, and Kaş in Antalya are traditionally in high demand and therefore have high prices.
As recently mentioned, new affordable homes will be built in Izmir.
