We will erect 600 thousand residences in houses - strong and safe structures - in the shortest possible time. We will restore Kahramanmarash, Hatay, Adiyaman and other cities affected by the earthquake. I want their inhabitants to return home as soon as possible".
The President also clarified that it is already possible to live in buildings that have not been damaged or almost have not been damaged; as well as in those that require minor repairs. As for the rest, municipalities have divided the zones that were subjected to destructive aftershocks into zones, from district to district, in order to resolve the housing situation in them as quickly as possible.
Real estate market experts also remind that half of the destroyed houses were not insured. And they remind of the need for insurance: after all, payments for policies against earthquakes and other natural disasters reached 0.64 million Turkish lira.
